‘Beat's Up' pays tribute to the Beat Generation - the writers and poets of the 1950’s who traded in the monotony of day to day American life in search of artistic freedom in Europe.
Fuelled by a heady cocktail of jazz, literature and a restless pursuit of new ideas, these wanderers moved through their world with an easy devil may care attitude that belied a deep, vibrant, intellectually energy.
Their wardrobes spoke a quiet manifesto: workwear, worn in solidarity with the everyday labourer, mixed with elements of Mid Century Ivy worn loose, soft and rumpled. Egalitarian yet romantic - a subtle rebellion against the buttoned up establishment they sought to escape.
Inspired by their lives and words, our A/W lookbook brings together our newest seasonal pieces with beloved Bryceland’s classics, presented through the lens of a generation determined to live on no one else’s terms but their own.
