Ten Years of Bryceland's

In the scheme of things, ten years isn’t a lot of time. It’s a blip, and every year that passes, as time whips by at an ever increasing pace, ten years can seem like a pause between breaths. But the last ten years for us have been foundational.

Kenji and I began Bryceland’s with our first store in Jingumae, on what was a quiet back street to Ura-Hara and Omotesando, ten years ago. We had an idea of making a brand for us, all of us that love this sort of thing. Me and Kenji, and all of you that agree with what we do. We wanted to make clothing that fit the way we like, and that was made well and got better with age. We didn’t want to bombard everyone with changing styles season by season, we wanted to build that perfect wardrobe, piece by piece, layer by layer and year by year. That’s what we’ve been trying to do these past ten years, growing step by tentative step, through a store in Hong Kong, London, and a connection to this community of like minded people.

For these ten years, we have sought to find quiet moments in the noise, things that feel like they have permanence.

Beautifully considered things bring order to the chaos of the world, if even for a moment. A quiet corner vignette, a perfect top collar, leather bent and polished and bent and polished again. Notes played with enough breath between. Small things can strike the mind like a bell, transport us to another place, provide solid ground in a world that shifts beneath us.

The 10133 

As we pass the posts on ten years business, we settle into our wardrobe with a limited run of our newest denim cut.

Inspired by workwear of the 30’s and 40’s, the 10133 model hangs from a higher waist, with a broad leg reminiscent of overalls and boiler suits.

Wide bottomed rounded pockets and a cinched back make this a utility dungaree, at home in the factory, field or forest, it is our homage to wide legged workwear.
