Description
Based on 70’s Lee Bootcut jeans, these have a square hip box and flat seat, meant to be worn a little tight. Teardrop pockets set wide apart – a feature designed for horse riding – affirm the Lee heritage, a contrast to our primarily Levi’s styled denims available so far. A new leather patch with the script Bryceland’s differentiates this as a new fit in denims. The cowboy label will be affixed to the waistband behind the leather patch.
It is our first zip fly model, in keeping with the period they originated. The zip is a cotton tape and brass teeth “Universal” from YKK Japan.
Worn slim, with the short cash jacket, this makes for a strong casual set up.
In black it lends itself to tailoring for evening looks, with slippers or boots, monochromatic tones of black and white and tailored jackets in cloths such as mohair or gaberdine.
The second fabrication is a left hand twill 13.5oz denim that will wash down to 13oz. It is a non selvedge denim, and a brighter blue thanks to the left hand construction.
These garments are a blank canvas of sorts, and can be modified in ways keeping with the 60’s and 70’s styling. Embroidery and patches of the period can give them a point of difference, and a pressed crease should make for beautiful fades.
